Work, not a slogan

What you can do to stop the spread of Sharia as law

Belief is free. A second legal system is not. If the goal is one civil status for every person here, the work is statutes, shelters, and speech — not harassment of neighbors.

Get fluent, then speak

Read Sharia as law, In the U.S., and the FAQ. If you cannot say “Muslims are equal citizens” and “hudud and male guardianship are incompatible with equal protection” in the same breath, you are not ready to represent this project.

Know the law where you live

Check whether your state has a real FGM statute, a child-marriage floor of 18, and a foreign-and-religious-law rule that names rights, not a religion. Uneven state codes are how parallel family practice hides. Start with the policy asks.

Write the people who pass statutes

A one-page to your state representative and senator beats a comment thread. Ask for: judicial review of religious arbitration in family cases; FGM and forced-marriage tracking; no public money for programs that teach a lesser legal status for girls. Find them at the state legislature directory and the U.S. House.

Amplify reformers — including Muslims

Share Allies & reading before you share a rant. CLARITy, AHA, One Law for All, and the Council of Ex-Muslims are the people who have paid for this argument. Do not claim them as partners until they say yes. Do not drown them out with invasion talk.

Use the rooms that already exist

School boards, city councils, bar associations, pediatric clinics, and police academies. Ask whether staff can recognize coerced marriage, FGM risk, and honor-based threats — and whether campus ‘inclusion’ codes have become a blasphemy rule. Local, specific, on the record.

What this is not

  • Do not harass Muslims, vandalize mosques, or treat neighbors as occupiers. That is a crime and it destroys the equal-protection case.
  • Do not pass “ban Sharia” bills that name a religion in the operative clause. Courts will gut them. Name due process, equal protection, and the right to leave a faith.
  • Do not invent a takeover. U.S. Muslims are about one percent of the country. No American courthouse is governed by Sharia. The fight is over family arbitration, uncounted crimes, and imported status rules — not a census panic.
  • If someone uses this site to target a person for being Muslim, they are not with us.
